Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath

Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath is one of the most influential voices on how children learn in the digital age. A cognitive neuroscientist and educator, he has conducted research and taught at Harvard University, Harvard Medical School, and the University of Melbourne. He has worked with more than 1,000 schools around the world.

His New York Times bestseller, The Digital Delusion: How Classroom Technology Harms Our Kids' Learning, and How to Help Them Thrive Again, has helped spark a national movement to rethink screens in schools. In January 2026, he testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation on how screens affect children's cognitive development. His work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The Economist, Harvard Business Review, and PBS's NOVA. He is the creator of The Learning Blueprint, an internationally award-winning program that helps educators and students understand how learning works.
